KCDS is pleased to welcome Samuel Downing to the team!
Samuel will be teaching stretch and strength classes for 11+ Tuesday evenings from 6.30-7.30pm.
He is known to help dancers solidify weaknesses and improve overall conditioning and flexibility by focusing on enhancing the dancers training, improving body alignment, posture, flexibility, core strength and movement control. Allowing strength and power within the body to be integrated with essence of dance.
Here's a few testimonials from Samuel's online students:
"Samuel's classes have been an incredible addition to our timetable. He is so positive and encouraging and puts the dancers at ease, giving them the confidence to step out of their comfort zones. Due to current restrictions, we have less studio time than we would like and, therefore, it's wonderful to have the option of Samuel's online classes allowing dancers to participate at home. I've been amazed at seeing a benefit already."
"After only a handful of classes, my dancers seem stronger, and more able to maintain correct ballet technique as a result. Despite a vast range of ages and abilities, Samuel seems to have them all engaged throughout the lesson and benefitting at their own level."

Welcome to the Katie Cox Dance Studio (KCDS). Our story began in 2010, when our founder Katie Cox opened our doors for the very first time - to just 25 students.
Known then as Warlingham Dance Studio, Katie discovered that after years of working as a professional dancer, her true passion was in teaching; passing on her expertise, and nurturing and motivating the dancers of tomorrow
With a full compliment of highly qualified dance teachers, KCDS has earned a reputation, not only for its excellence but also as a place where everyone is welcomed and valued.
At KCDS there is something for everyone - dancers have the chance to enjoy opportunities such as graded exams, assessments, personalised sessions for audition preparation and a biennial dance show in a professional theatre, plus the chance to perform on stage in London's West End, at fetes, competitions, and more.
