At KCDS, we are passionate about delivering the highest quality training in dance, singing, and acting for children and teenagers.
Our mission is to nurture talent, build confidence, and inspire every student to reach their full potential – both on and off the stage.
Through expert instruction, a supportive environment, and a commitment to excellence, we empower young performers to act, sing, dance, and create with passion and purpose.

Welcome to KCDS!
I founded the school in 2010 with the aim of creating a modern, vibrant performing arts school, committed to inspiring young performers, fostering new talent and engaging our pupils in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
At KCDS we are also passionate about supporting those with additional needs. Our teachers have experience working with children with SEN in dance classes and educational settings.
My team of professional and fully qualified teachers provide exceptional training, and our approach is reflected in our excellent examination results, with KCDS students consistently attaining outstanding grades in their dance exams.
Our new Performance Company has achieved great success at festivals and competitions, with students qualifying for the Dance World Cup and AED Regionals. They’ve also performed at venues like Theatre Royal Drury Lane, His Majesty’s Theatre, and Disneyland Paris.

From National Finals to the World Stage
Katie Cox Dance Studio Celebrates an Extraordinary Competition Season
What a year it has been for Katie Cox Dance Studio.
The 2026 competition season has been our most successful to date, with our dancers achieving incredible results at both the All England Dance National Finals and the Dance World Cup Finals.
These achievements are a reflection of the dedication, resilience and commitment shown by every dancer, teacher and family who has supported our journey.
Success at the All England Dance National Finals
To qualify for the All England National Finals is an achievement in itself, with only the highest-scoring dancers from across the country earning their place.
This year, KCDS was proud to have dancers competing amongst the very best in the UK, producing performances of an exceptional standard.
Some of our highlights included:
Eva becoming All England National Runner-Up in her lyrical solo.
"Wait For Me" receiving an Outstanding Performance mark of 26.6, a fantastic achievement at national level.
"Wonderful World" qualifying for the National Finals, placing the routine amongst the Top 21 Small Contemporary Groups in the country.
These results demonstrate the exceptional standard our students are reaching and the exciting future ahead for the studio.
Taking KCDS to the Dance World Cup
Following qualification earlier this year, Katie Cox Dance Studio proudly represented England at the Dance World Cup Finals in Dublin, competing against dancers from across the globe.
To stand on the world stage is an incredible honour, and our dancers embraced every moment with professionalism, passion and determination.
Dance World Cup Highlights
⭐ 6th in the World
Our Under 10 Ballet Quartet delivered a beautiful performance to finish 6th in the world.
⭐ 9th in the World
Our contemporary group "Silence" achieved an outstanding 9th place in the world.
⭐ Wonderful World
Our lyrical contemporary group achieved an incredible 85.1 points, finishing just 2% away from a medal position.
⭐ Top 10 World Ranking
Flynn Preece became the first KCDS soloist to compete at Dance World Cup, scoring 86.8 and finishing 10th in his category.
⭐ World Medal
A huge congratulations to Issy, who proudly brought home a Bronze Medal, finishing 3rd in the world in her Jazz section.
These are milestones we could only have dreamed of a few years ago and represent the highest level of international dance competition.
More Than Medals
Whilst we are incredibly proud of every trophy, medal and score achieved this season, what makes us even prouder is the way our dancers represented Katie Cox Dance Studio.
They demonstrated kindness, resilience, professionalism, teamwork and a genuine love for dance throughout the entire season.
Behind every performance are countless hours of classes, rehearsals, strength training, coaching, travelling and unwavering commitment from dancers, teachers and parents alike.
Success at this level doesn't happen overnight - it is built through consistency, hard work and a supportive dance family.
Looking Ahead
Following such an incredible year, we are already preparing for an exciting new season.
From September we will begin work towards another year of competitions, performances and exciting opportunities, including auditions for our Dance World Cup 2027 Team, with specialist choreographers joining us to create new routines for next year's World Championships in Portugal.
We cannot wait to see what the next chapter brings.

Located in the heart of Purley town centre, our studios are more than just hire space - they are a curated movement and rehearsal hub designed for professionals who value quality, presentation and consistency.
We are building a community of aligned instructors across wellness, performing arts and specialist training disciplines, creating a calm, professional environment where both teachers and clients feel confident and well supported.
With multiple mirrored studios, a welcoming reception area and convenient parking directly outside, our space offers a reliable and elevated setting for weekday daytime classes.

To help new students feel comfortable and confident, we offer a two-week taster, the perfect way to ease in, have fun, and get a real feel for the class before committing.

SUCCESS STORIES
Our students have gone on to achieve incredible success, securing roles in major productions such as Matilda, The Lion King, Tina the Musical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (UK Tour), and School of Rock in the West End.
They’ve also performed with prestigious companies including the London Children’s Ballet, English Youth Ballet, the National Youth Theatre, Surrey Youth Ballet, and the Elite Ballet Project.
Many have gained places at leading performing arts institutions such as:
